Ramadan Mubarak sign
A landscape greeting board with Ramadan Mubarak in large Arabic calligraphy and its English rendering, carrying your masjid’s name and logo in their fixed positions. It is a welcome rather than a wayfinding sign: it tells arrivals the mosque is ready for the month, and it works as well posted on the masjid’s social accounts as it does printed.
Where is it used and when is it required?
Hung above the main entrance or on the courtyard gate from the first night of Ramadan, at the entrance to the iftar tent, in the women’s hall and on the registration table on Qiyam nights. Many masajid have it printed large on a fabric banner so it lasts the whole month, then take it down after Eid al-Fitr.
- Hang it above the entrance at 2.2–2.5 m, or on a floor stand beside the door if the wall is marble.
- Use at least A3; for gates, send the PDF to a print shop to enlarge onto a banner a metre or more wide with no loss of quality.
- In the West, choose 'Ramadan Mubarak' or 'Ramadan Kareem' according to what your community says, and add the Hijri and Gregorian year so it doubles as a keepsake in photos.
