What does this sign mean?
A sign marking the donation box as the masjid’s own. A fixed sign carrying the masjid’s name and logo makes it harder for unattended boxes to be left without permission.
Where does it go and when is it required?
Directly above the box or on the wall behind it, at the main entrance and at the prayer-hall exit where worshippers pass after salah. It is read from a pace or two, so it does not need a large size.
- Collecting donations in a masjid is regulated in most countries and usually needs a permit. Confirm the box is authorised before the sign goes up.
- A5 or A4 is enough above the box; use A3 only if the sign sits on a distant wall.
- Add the masjid’s name and logo — an unnamed sign does not distinguish the official box from any other, which is the first thing a donor checks.
