wear high-visibility clothing sign
A mandatory (blue) sign requiring a high-visibility vest or clothing before entering the area. The solid blue circle with a white symbol is the ISO 7010 mandatory shape — an instruction to act, not a hazard warning — and M015 shows a vest with reflective bands that makes the wearer visible to plant operators.
Where is it used and when is it required?
Required at construction site gates and manoeuvring yards, in warehouses worked by forklifts, in truck loading yards and service bays, along pedestrian routes inside industrial facilities, and at road works and night maintenance where a driver relies on reflected light alone to see the worker.
Regulation notes
Civil Defense and occupational safety authorities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE expect pedestrian and vehicle movements to be separated and high-visibility clothing to be enforced in yards and on sites, as a condition of construction permits and operating licences. In the UAE, practice under the OSHAD Code of Practice 17.0 is for Arabic to sit above English on safety signs.
- Mount on the gate or at the entry checkpoint at eye level (1.5–1.7 m), and again on the site office door that visitors use to step out into the yard.
- A3 is the right size at site gates and yards so it reads from inside a vehicle; A4 on internal warehouse doors.
- Keep spare clean vests for visitors at the gate, and replace dirty or faded ones rather than only washing them — worn reflective tape stops working.
