What does this sign mean?
A Give way sign requires the driver to yield to traffic on the road being joined and to stop if necessary, without an obligatory halt when the way is clear. The inverted triangle is reserved for this message alone.
Where does it go and when is it required?
Used where secondary aisles meet main circulation routes in car parks, residential compounds and malls, at the entry to internal roundabouts, and in school grounds and construction sites. This version is intended for private and internal roads; signs on public roads must be installed by the municipality or the competent roads authority.
