What does this sign mean?

A reminder to step into the masjid with the right foot, a well-known sunnah of entering. The sign is a courtesy reminder rather than a ruling, and the wording is kept gentle so it reads as well to a first-time visitor as to a regular.

Where does it go and when is it required?

At the threshold of the main door and the prayer-hall doors, at eye level or on the floor just before the threshold. It is read in the moment of entering, so a copy inside the hall does nothing.

  • A5 or A4 is enough — it is read from one pace away, not from the back of the hall.
  • For a floor position use an anti-slip floor sticker; plain paper tears underfoot and becomes a trip hazard.
  • Hang it beside the entering-dua sign and the no-shoes sign so a visitor takes all three in at one spot.

This sign is also known as: right foot first sign, enter mosque right foot sign printable, masjid entry adab sign, mosque etiquette sign Arabic English. Informational sign not governed by a mandatory standard; designed in one consistent style for everyday use. Our own drawing, not the registered symbol from the standard.
