What does this sign mean?
A sign for the women’s wudu area, kept distinct from the men’s. In many masajid the women’s section sits away from the main entrance or on another floor, and this sign saves a visitor from having to ask at the door.
Where does it go and when is it required?
Above the women’s wudu-room door, along the route to it from the women’s entrance, and at the fork where the two sections separate. Where there is a separate women’s entrance, put one there too.
- Mount at 1.8–2.0 m above the door, and add an arrow on copies away from the door.
- A4 is enough above the door; use A3 at the women’s entrance and the corridor fork.
- If the women’s section is on another floor, put a copy at the stairs and the lift, not only at the entrance.
