What does this sign mean?
A sign for the women’s toilets, kept clear of the men’s and of the women’s wudu area. It is read from a short distance, and the pictogram pairs the figure with a toilet so the meaning holds without reading the text.
Where does it go and when is it required?
Above the women’s restroom door and along the route from the women’s entrance and the women’s prayer hall. Where the women’s section has its own floor, put a copy at the stairs and the lift.
- Mount at 1.8–2.0 m above the door, with an arrowed copy along the corridor.
- A4 is enough on the door; use A3 at the women’s entrance and on long corridors.
- Where the toilets and the wudu room sit together, hang both signs side by side at the split rather than one sign covering both.
