first aid sign
A safe-condition (green) sign showing where the first-aid kit or first-aid room is. The white cross on green is the ISO 7010 first-aid symbol and carries no religious meaning.
Where is it used and when is it required?
Mounted directly above the first-aid box in shops, restaurants, offices, workshops and warehouses, and on the door of the first-aid room in schools and factories. Civil Defense and occupational-safety regulations require a clearly marked, easily reached kit wherever people work.
Regulation notes
Civil Defense and occupational-safety rules in Saudi Arabia and the UAE require a signed first-aid kit in every workplace, and it is checked during the licensing visit. In the UAE, OSHAD Code of Practice 17.0 requires Arabic to appear above English on safety signs.
- Mount above the kit at 1.5–1.8 m so it can be spotted from anywhere on the floor.
- A4 works for offices and shops; use A3 in workshops and warehouses.
- Keep the kit itself green or white with a green cross, and check the contents and expiry dates every six months.
