forklift truck sign
A warning (yellow) sign alerting people that forklifts and industrial handling equipment cross this area and that the driver may not see pedestrians. The yellow triangle with a black border is the ISO 7010 warning shape; the pictogram is a forklift seen from the side.
Where is it used and when is it required?
Used in warehouse aisles and loading and unloading docks, factory halls and production lines, large cold-store corridors, material laydown yards on construction sites, and back-of-house areas in hypermarkets and malls. Place one at every pedestrian door opening onto an equipment route.
Regulation notes
Occupational-safety authorities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE expect pedestrian routes to be separated from equipment routes in warehouses and factories, with clear warnings at crossing points, and these arrangements are reviewed during safety inspections. In the UAE, the OSHAD Code of Practice 17.0 requires Arabic to sit above English on safety signs.
- Mount it at aisle entrances and pedestrian doors at eye level (1.5–1.7 m), facing the direction people walk in from.
- Use A3 in warehouse halls and on loading docks so it reads from a distance; A4 is enough on internal doors.
- Back it up with yellow floor lines marking the pedestrian walkway and a convex mirror at blind corners — the sign alone will not prevent a collision.
