A prohibition sign barring forklifts, pallet trucks and other industrial vehicles from the area. The red circle with a diagonal bar over a side-view forklift is the standard ISO 7010 P004 form, and the prohibition applies to the equipment, not to people on foot.
Where is it used and when is it required?
Placed at the entrances of pedestrian walkways inside warehouses, on the doors of electrical rooms and stores with delicate flooring, in packing areas and factory offices, and at ramps and aisles that cannot carry a forklift's weight.
Regulation notes
Civil Defense and occupational-safety rules in Saudi Arabia and the UAE expect pedestrian routes to be separated from equipment routes in warehouses and factories and marked with clear signs, and this is reviewed in safety audits. In the UAE, OSHAD Code of Practice 17.0 requires Arabic to appear above English on safety signs.
- Mount at 2–2.5 m so a forklift driver sees it from the seat before entering the aisle.
- Use A3 at main aisle entrances and A4 on internal doors.
- Back it up with floor markings and physical barriers — a sign alone will not stop a moving forklift.
