Civil Defense and occupational safety authorities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE expect PPE mandatory signage at points where hands are exposed, as a condition of operating licences and risk-assessment files. In the UAE, practice under the OSHAD Code of Practice 17.0 is for Arabic to sit above English on safety signs.

- A4 is enough inside workshops, laboratories and kitchens; use A3 at warehouse entrances and chemical storage areas.
- Name the required glove type in the organisation band — nitrile for chemicals, cut-resistant for metal, heat-resistant for hot pans — because the wrong glove is worse than none.
