What does this sign mean?
A warning sign telling the driver that a Stop sign follows a short distance ahead, so speed can be reduced before the stop line. It does not itself require a halt; it prepares the driver for the compulsory stop that follows.
Where does it go and when is it required?
Used ahead of compulsory stop points in large car parks, residential compounds, malls and construction sites, especially where the Stop sign is hidden behind a bend or a building. This version is intended for private and internal roads; signs on public roads must be installed by the municipality or the competent roads authority.

- Mount it on a post with the bottom edge 2.0–2.5 m above the road surface, far enough ahead of the Stop sign to allow slowing down.
